The Lapu-Lapu shrine is a 20 metres bronze statue in Punta Engaño, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, Philippines, erected in honor of Lapu-Lapu, a native leader who defeated Spanish soldiers led by the Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan in the 1521 Battle of Mactan.

You will visit the grave of Magellan on about. Mactan, and in the Basilica of Santo Niño you will see the Cross that the navigator installed when he reached the Philippines.

We will also visit Fort San Pedro – you will find out how its purpose has changed over five hundred years. And in the old quarter near the Cebu Heritage monument, let’s talk about the key events for the city.
Fuerte de San Pedro is a military defense structure in Cebu, built by the Spanish under the command of Miguel López de Legazpi, first governor of the Captaincy General of the Philippines. It is located in the area now called Plaza Indepedencia, in the pier area of the city.

Then we will go to the prestigious area of Beverly Hills, where a recently built Taoist temple of extraordinary beauty, immersed in greenery. You will admire its decoration and panoramic views of the island.

And then we will stop by the Maktan factory, where some of the best guitars in the world are made. The factory staff will tell you about their production, and if you wish, you can purchase a musical instrument or souvenir (a mini-guitar made from a coconut).
