What to Expect When Visiting Puerto Princesa, MIMAROPA, Philippines
This tour will take you to one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature; the only one located in the Philippines. You will also get to scale a limestone cave and ride a zip line all the way back down.
Itinerary
Your activity starts when your guide picks you up from your hotel in downtown Puerto Princesa. As soon as all the other guests in your group are on board, you’ll head to Sabang Beach – the drive is about 90 minutes long.
Upon arriving at the beach, you tour guide will process the paperwork and will assist you in getting on a motor boat to the Park. You’ll be given safety equipment like life vests, and helmet before entering the cave. An audio device in multiple languages is also available so you can have more information about the cave. You’ll go inside the Underground River and marvel at one of the world’s New 7 Wonders of Nature. You’ll be riding a paddle boat and will be on a 45-minute trip inside the cave.
After this, you’ll have lunch at Sabang beach where you’ll get to taste sumptuous Filipino delicacies. Do not forget to sample “tamilok” as well. It’s a woodworm taken from the bark of dead mangrove trees.
After lunch, you’ll head to Ugong Rock for the zip line and spelunking activity. This community-based sustainable tourism site is managed by locals in the area. It provides them with alternate source of income.
After the activity, you’ll head back to your hotel.
