What makes Bohol: Countryside Eco-Cultural Tour w/ Loboc River Lunch a unique experience ?

This particular site was made in honor of a very important event in the Philippine history done between Miguel Lopez de Legazpi of Spain and Rajah Sikatuna of Bohol.
This Sikatuna-Legaspi blood compact is considered as the First Treaty of Friendship between two different races, religions, cultures and civilizations. It was a treaty of friendship based on respect and equality. This event is commonly known as “Sandugo”.

Contrary to what is believed, Bohol is not only known for the famous Chocolate Hills or for the glittering waters of Alona Beach. With its longstanding history linked to the spread of Christianity, Bohol is also known for its old churches, one of which is the pristine Baclayon Church.
Immaculate Concepcion Church of Baclayon, prominently known simply as Baclayon Church, is one of Bohol’s greatest sacred treasures of all time.
The church’s roots can be traced back to 1596, established by Father Gabriel Sanchez and Father Juan de Torres, the first Spanish Jesuit priests to set foot in Cebu.

The largest python in captivity can be found in Alburquerque, Bohol. This python is over 25 feet long and is fed one small pig a month.
The Bohol Python and Wildlife Park is really a fun place to visit and educational for people who are interested in learning about the need for wildlife conservation.
The tour will take about 30 to 45 minutes to explore the entire park.
There are also many other animals to be seen here, including a Philippines Eagle that was rescued and brought here.
Without the Bohol Python Sanctuary and Wildlife Park, these animals could not survive in the wild due to injuries sustained either by other animals or humans trying to capture them to sell for a profit.

The Tarsier Conservation Area is an initial six-hectare woodland area located in barangay Upper Bonbon, Loboc town. A stone’s throw away from the Loboc part of the man-made forest, Tarsier Conservation Area is the new home of the captive tarsiers previously displayed for tourists along the Loboc River for decades.
The tarsier (Tarsius syrichta fraterculus) is Bohol tourism’s mascot. It is known locally by many names – mamag, mago, magau, maomag, malmag and magatilok-iok. For decades, tarsiers in the Loboc riverbank were poked with sticks, blinded by flash cameras, endured day long petting and force feeding from tourists. Tarsier display owners were widely criticised for allowing this to happen.
An initial three-hectare area is now ready for tarsier viewing with pebbled pathways for visitors laid out around the wooded sanctuary while a thatched-roofed waiting area showcasing tarsier souvenirs has been constructed to accommodate the expected influx of visitors.

Chocolate Hills in Bohol is a famed tourist attraction in the Philippines which continues to draw attention for its unique and majestic characteristics.
There are more than 1,000 symmetrical mounds, conical and dome-shaped that most people liken them to Hershey’s Kisses. It is called the Chocolate Hills not because it’s made of chocolate but because of its color.
In the rainy season, the grass blanketing the hills gives them a soft and lush appearance. While in the summer, the vegetation dies off and turns to a chocolatey brown hue, giving them their name.

Optional Tour – Sotera’s ATV Rides is one of the popular Sports & Recreation located in Chocolate Hills, Buenos Aires, Carmen, Bohol, Philippines ,Bohol listed under Sports & recreation in Bohol ,

Loboc Bohol is home of the famous Loboc Children’s Choir, Loboc is a peaceful municipality that is world famous to its well-known river which is aptly called Loboc River.
This river is one of the cleanest rivers in the country. This is the one tourist spot you don’t want to miss during your Bohol Tours.
When visiting the town of Loboc you can experience cruising along the river on board a floating restaurant.
The Loboc River Dinner Cruise starts by the Loay Bridge which is located in the neighboring town of Loay or at the Loboc town proper where you can choose from a variety of river cruising vessels. The Loboc River cruise usually runs for an hour or so back and forth.

The Bohol Forest is a man-made mahogany forest stretching in a two-kilometer stretch of densely planted Mahogany trees located in the border of Loboc and Bilar towns. Before and after this man-made forest are the naturally grown forests of Loboc and Bilar which are thick with a kaleidoscope of green foliage, different species of trees and giant ferns lining the road.
The man-made forest stands out because of the uniformity in height of the big trees, the spread of its branches, thickness and design of leaves. Seedlings abound around the older trees. Trunks, some thick and others just a few months old, grow resplendently straight up towards the sky which is obscured by the branches and the thick leaves.
The roots of the trees are beautiful to look at as they protrude from the ground and crawl over boulders and contour of the land, even reaching the sides of the road.

Before going back to your hometown, I suggest you visit Aproniana, a Souvenir Shop in Bohol. The gift shop is located in Taguihon, Baclayon, Bohol, Philippines. Aproniana Souvernir Shop is about 10 minutes away from Baclayon Church.
Considered as “Bohol’s ultimate souvenir destination”, Aproniana Souvenir Shop sells almost anything you want so you can remember the memories you spent in Bohol.

The adventure park features two heart-pumping rides, a cable car and a zipline, that will treat you to a panoramic view of the town.
Upon arrival at the site, you will go on a ride on the 520-meter long Loboc Zipline. You will be taken at a height of 120 meters, where you will get an amazing view of the Loboc River and its surrounding forest. You will also see Busay Falls from a different angle as compared to viewing it on the river cruise. The experience only lasts about one minute. While it may sound scary, experienced handlers will make sure you are secured and completely safe.
